\nAzure is about trying to create moments where, at least during the programme, people stop being \u2018the person with dementia and their carer\u2019 and, in some ways, go back to being husband and wife, mother and son, father and daughter, sister and brother. Azure originated through collaboration between Age & Opportunity;\u00a0The Alzheimer Society of Ireland<\/a>; the\u00a0Butler Gallery<\/a>, Kilkenny; and\u00a0IMMA<\/a>\u00a0(Irish Museum of Modern Art). We work with these partners to train museum and gallery staff with the skills needed to deliver arts participation experiences for persons living with dementia.<\/p>\nThe Azure network has now expanded to numerous arts venues nationwide.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
