{"id":15031,"date":"2025-01-29T17:15:06","date_gmt":"2025-01-29T17:15:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ageandopportunity.ie\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=15031"},"modified":"2025-01-29T17:15:06","modified_gmt":"2025-01-29T17:15:06","slug":"creative-exchanges-course-limerick","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/ageandopportunity.ie\/event\/creative-exchanges-course-limerick\/","title":{"rendered":"Creative Exchanges course &#8211; Limerick"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This March we are pleased to offer our Creative Exchanges two-day course at Limerick City Gallery of Art.\u00a0 Creative Exchanges is designed for activities coordinators working in residential or day care settings. \u00a0It is also suitable for those with an arts background interested in engaging with older people in a care setting<strong>. *<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Creative Exchanges provides participants with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Practical skills to carry out creative activities with people in residential and day care settings<\/li>\n<li>An understanding of the value of creative activity, particularly in care settings<\/li>\n<li>Experience of taking part in arts-based workshops<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The course is designed to provide meaningful opportunities to engage older people in arts activities and adopts a person-centred approach promoted by HIQA\u2019s National Quality Standards for Residential Care Settings for Older People (2016).\u00a0On completion of the course, a Certificate of Attendance will be issued to participants by Age &amp; Opportunity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>VENUE AND DATES<\/strong><br \/>\nLimerick City Gallery of Art, Carnegie Building, Pery Square, Prior&#8217;s-Land, Limerick, V94 E67F.<br \/>\nMondays: 24<sup>th<\/sup> and 31<sup>st<\/sup> March 2025.\u00a0 10.15 am \u2013 16.30pm.<br \/>\nTea\/coffee will be provided on arrival, and at the mid-morning break.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRICE\/BOOKING<\/strong><br \/>\nCreative Exchanges costs \u20ac399 per participant and participants need to attend both training days.\u00a0 As places are limited, fees need to be paid in advance to secure a place.
