{"id":14813,"global_id":"ageandopportunity.ie?id=14813","global_id_lineage":["ageandopportunity.ie?id=14813"],"author":"5","status":"publish","date":"2024-09-05 15:49:00","date_utc":"2024-09-05 15:49:00","modified":"2024-09-05 15:49:00","modified_utc":"2024-09-05 15:49:00","url":"https:\/\/ageandopportunity.ie\/event\/creative-exchanges-course-dublin-november-2024\/","rest_url":"https:\/\/ageandopportunity.ie\/wp-json\/tribe\/events\/v1\/events\/14813","title":"Creative Exchanges Course, Dublin, November 2024","description":"<p>This November we are pleased to offer our Creative Exchanges two-day course at IMMA (Irish Museum of Modern Art), Dublin.\u00a0 Creative Exchanges is designed for activities coordinators working in residential or day care settings. \u00a0It is also suitable for those with an arts background interested in engaging with older people in a care setting<strong>.*<\/strong>\u00a0<b>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>Creative Exchanges provides participants with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Practical skills to carry out creative activities with people in residential and day care settings<\/li>\n<li>An understanding of the value of creative activity, particularly in care settings<\/li>\n<li>Experience of taking part in arts-based workshops<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The course is designed to provide meaningful opportunities to engage older people in arts activities and adopts a person-centred approach promoted by, HIQA\u2019s National Quality Standards for Residential Care Settings for Older People (2016).\u00a0On completion of the course, a Certificate of Attendance will be issued to participants by Age &amp; Opportunity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>VENUE AND DATES<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>The Irish Museum of Modern Art, Kilmainham, Dublin 8, Studios 9 and 10.<br \/>\nTuesdays:\u00a0 19<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0and 26<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0November 2024.\u00a0 10:00am \u2013 16.00<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRICE\/BOOKING<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>Creative Exchanges costs \u20ac380 per participant.\u00a0As places are limited, fees need to be paid in advance to secure a place.
